System Requirements

• Windows XP SP3 or higher. (32-bit and 64-bit)
• .NET 4.0 (installed by ESME if not present)

2GB RAM and a multiprocessor or multicore system are strongly recommended for reasonable performance.

New Users:
Both ESME Workbench and Environmental databases are required. This installer will download approximately 1.8 GB of environmental data when it is run.

• x64 (64-bit): ESME Workbench 2012 and Databases (1.3 MB).
• x86 (32-bit): ESME Workbench 2012 and Databases (1.3 MB).
• Matlab API for custom simulation post-processing : Matlab Tools.zip (12 Kb).
• Python API for custom simulation post-processing : PythonAPI.zip (3 Kb).

Users who have previously downloaded a beta version of ESME:
Only the Workbench Application is required. Previously installed Environmental Databases are backwards-compatible with earlier releases.

Environmental Databases

For users who wish to have access to the OAML environmental data sources separately, they are available as a series of .zip files.

These versions were acquired via a FOIA request circa June 2010, and are made available in a completely unaltered format.

• Sediment: BST v2.0 (48.1 MB).
• Bathymetry: DBDB v5.4 (572 MB).
• Temperature and Salinity: GDEM v3.0 (3.5 GB).
• Wind Speed: SMGC v2.0 (2.5 GB).

Deprecated Builds

Older versions of ESME remain available by request. Users are highly encouraged to use the latest build, available above.
